Toilet problems range from a running tank or weak flush to a unit that rocks on the floor or leaks at the base. Rocking and base leaks usually point to a worn wax ring or a loose flange rather than the toilet itself, and catching that early prevents water damage to the subfloor.
Faucet leaks are typically a worn cartridge, washer or O-ring specific to that faucet's design. We repair faucets when parts are available and the fixture is in otherwise good shape, and recommend replacement when a faucet is old enough that parts are difficult to source.
Under-sink plumbing — the trap, drain assembly and supply lines — is a common source of slow leaks that go unnoticed until they've caused cabinet or flooring damage. We check the full assembly during a fixture visit, not just the fixture handle.
A shower valve that won't hold a set temperature, is hard to turn, or leaks behind the wall usually needs the cartridge or valve body replaced. Because these valves are inside the wall, we plan the access point carefully to keep any opening as small as possible.
We repair and replace garbage disposals, including jams, leaks at the sink flange, and units that hum but won't spin or don't power on at all. When a disposal is old or has failed more than once, replacement is usually the more practical option.

Utah County's mineral-heavy water leaves scale inside faucet cartridges, shower valves and toilet fill mechanisms, which is why fixtures here often need repair sooner than their rated lifespan would suggest. A water softener reduces that buildup and extends how long fixtures last between repairs.
Repair generally makes sense when a fixture has failed once and parts are readily available. Replacement makes more sense when a fixture has needed repeated repairs, when parts are discontinued, or when the fixture is being updated as part of a larger remodel anyway.
If a fixture has needed more than one repair in the past year or two, ask about replacement instead — the cost difference is often smaller than a second or third service call.
